Air Water Life’s advanced-technology water ionizers allow you to filter, purify and custom vary the pH balance of your water to produce Alkaline Water which is high in antioxidants and ideal for healthy drinking water and Acidic Water which, though not intended for drinking, is perfectly suited for skin, hair and scalp conditioning as well as plant care. In addition to allowing you to adjust your water’s pH level, all our water ionizers have built-in Active Carbon Water Filters designed to remove a whole host of harmful pollutants found in tap water.

Alkaline Water’s Antioxidant Properties:

Water with a pH level greater than 7.0 is referred to as alkaline water which, when drank daily, is an extremely effective antioxidant. Increasing the body’s antioxidant levels has been linked in numerous studies with higher energy levels, anti-aging effects and disease inhibiting properties in everything from ulcers and arteriosclerosis to diabetes and even cancers. Moreover, because ionized water is molecularly smaller, it is absorbed more quickly by the cells in our bodies allowing us to rehydrate and/or detoxify the body faster and more effectively than with non-ionized traditional tap or bottled water.

Cooking with alkaline water dramatically improves the flavor of vegetables, rice, pastas, soups and teas. In addition, though most plants prefer slightly acidic soil (see below), certain plants such as eucalyptus, ficus, juniper, aloe, yucca, lilacs and irises thrive on alkaline water.

Higher Alkaline water levels (pH of 10 or more) are great for thoroughly washing fruits and vegetables to remove harmful bacteria and pesticides; makes a great stain remover for removing coffee, oil, grass and other stubborn stains; and dramatically enhances kitchen, bath and other household cleaning chores.

Acidic Water’s Astringent & Plant Growth Properties: (NOT for Drinking)

Water with a pH level less than 7.0 is referred to as acidic water. Because our skin and hair are both mildly acidic, when Acid Ionized Water is applied topically to skin, it exfoliates the skin removing dead cells and acts as an astringent which tightens the skin, removes fine lines and wrinkles. And, because acidic water kills surface bacteria on the skin, it also helps fight acne and blemishes without harmful chemical residues. Shampooing and rinsing your hair with acidic water enhances shine, manageability and reduces breakage.

Acidic water can also enhance plant growth especially for plants that thrive in slightly acidic soil such as roses, sunflowers, begonias, many vegetables including squash and melons, azaleas, rhododendrons, hibiscus, tomatoes, strawberries and blueberries.

Neutral (Purified) Water’s Filtration Properties:

Even if you’re using your water ionizer’s neutral setting, i.e., water with a pH of 7.0 that is neither alkaline or acidic, all our water ionizers have built-in Active Carbon Water Filters which remove chlorine, benzene, trihalomethane, radon, pesticides, VOCs and hundreds of other harmful pollutants found in tap water. These filters also eliminate unpleasant odors, act as an antibacterial/antimicrobial agent. And, of course the filter also works with alkaline and acidic water settings so it’s doubly pure. All our water filters are designed to last for at least a full year under normal usage conditions.

Purified neutral water is lower in chemical contaminates than most traditional tap and bottle water sources making it ideal for the health conscious, whatever their selected alkaline water level, and perfectly suited for consumption by infants and for use in baby food preparation.
